The Power of Drupal from a "Systems" Perspective
Have years of fluffy Drupal GUI's instilled fear of the command line into you?
Have you always wished you could harness the power of drush, but are too scared to ssh into your server and get to it?
Are you tired of of your hosting provider not being able to administer systems for your Drupal sites?
You see where I'm going with this... Yep, a sys opts talk! Don't be scared by that term! The LAMP stack is your friend, and I'll prove it.
In this session we will start by covering some Linux basics and move on to automated updating with cron and drush.
We'll rehash some security stuff you've probably heard but never really understood.
If there's time I'd also like to take a moment to answer any questions you didn't want to ask your systems guy for fear of belittlement.
If you don't use CLI, or don't know what it stands for; you won't want to miss this.
All you need is ears and/or eyes, but a Drupal site and terminal wouldn't hurt. ;)
